How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:

The Life Product Pricing team is responsible for developing pricing models for BHF life insurance offerings, reporting quarterly financial results for life sales, and lending actuarial support to other areas including Inforce Analytics, Underwriting, Legal, Valuation, Competition, Reinsurance, etc.


This position will help continue model development initiatives for existing life products as well as potential future products


Principal Responsibilities Include:

  • Master pricing software to model various life insurance products and associated riders
  • Analyze existing and proposed product design and underwriting procedures for impact on financials
  • Review existing actuarial memoranda/documentation and supplement as needed
  • Perform ad-hoc assumption updates and modeling requests and analyze impact on financials



  • Current College or University student graduating between August 2021 and August 2022
  • Passed at least one actuarial exam
  • Strong background in programming
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Can handle multiple projects
  • Can work independently in an unstructured environment and take initiative
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
