Associate Wholesaler (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Remote)
Where you’ll work:
This is a remote position with a hybrid option for candidates in the Charlotte, NC area.
How you’ll contribute:
As an Associate Wholesaler (AWS), you’ll be responsible for providing investment professionals the
ability to help their clients achieve financial freedom with certainty and confidence, while promoting the
Brighthouse Financial brand and increasing Shield/SLPP market share.
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Report to BHF ISO Leader (SDM); Partner with an EW (as detailed above) to execute on territory sales plan; & Mentor a NEW (IW1) Internal Wholesaler.
- Cultivate new financial advisor relationships (Phase 0) and grow existing financial advisor relationships (Phase 1-3) to achieve sales/revenue expansion within a designated territory.
- Strategically plan and manage the deployment of resources to maximize territory sales and new producers while being responsible for budgeting and expenses.
- Partner with SRM, firms/centers of influence (BD’s) and industry organizations that have shared values to drive product awareness and market share.
- Actively consult, both over the phone and (at least quarterly) in-person, Financial Advisors to provide them with value-added strategies to increase their knowledge, business and expanded partnership.
- Educate financial advisors on both KPP and our comprehensive sales experience to promote growth and long term retention.
- Interact with key partners (NSD, DSM, SDM, EW/IW, FIAS & KPP) for connectedness, timeliness and quality assurance – known as “FA experience.”
- Actively partner with BHF L&D to mentor and train NEW ISA’s to advance IW1 readiness.
- Engage in research, thought leadership and competitive intelligence on thriving RILA/VA marketplaces.
We’re looking for people who have:
- 3+ years of sales experience as an Internal and/or External Wholesaler.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships.
- Exemplary track record of exceeding sales performance expectations.
- Ability to communicate clearly and motivate others to action (excellent presentation skills).
- Proven ability to demonstrate and train on sales and marketing principles and practices
- Ability to travel at least once per (calendar) quarter.
- Must hold a valid FINRA SIE, Series 6 or 7 and Series 63 license.
- Must hold or obtain a Life and Health Insurance license with Variable Authority.
- Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent job experience/education preferred.
- Advanced financial designation preferred.
