How you’ll contribute: 
As a Director & Actuary, you’ll be responsible for deliverables encompassing our variable annuities and flagship registered-indexed-linked-annuity product, Shield.  This position will support the Liability Analysis and Services team and will be responsible for production and analysis used to inform hedging related reporting, attribution and strategy.


In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Be responsible for hedging analysis, including sensitivity testing, attribution, and forward-looking estimation for our variable annuities and flagship registered-indexed-linked-annuity product, Shield.
  • Perform analysis to identify, measure and propose solutions to the hedge strategy review and hedge performance.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to maintain consistency in production processes and deliverables schedule, assumptions, modeling methodologies and stay up to date on regulatory and reporting changes.
  • Collaborate with the model development team to request, document, and approve model changes and improve processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Work with the Leader of Hedging Liability Analysis to prioritize, plan, and execute projects.


We’re looking for people who have: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, or Finance.
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation required, FSA designation advantageous.
  • Strong computing and programming skills, Python preferred.
  • Experience with actuarial modeling software, PathWise preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office. (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong project management skills; Detailed and process oriented.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Conceptual and analytical skills to develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in business priorities and deadlines.

  • Compensation – Base salary ranging from $150,000 - $175,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
