Fixed Index Annuity Specialist (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Remote)

How you’ll contribute:
As a FIA Specialist, you’ll be responsible for providing investment professionals the ability to help their clients achieve financial freedom with certainty and confidence, while promoting the Brighthouse Financial brand and increasing Fixed/FIA market share.
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Report to BHF FIA Distribution Manager and fulfill ISO FIA performance goals and initiatives.
- Strategically plan and manage the deployment of resources to maximize territory sales and new producers while being responsible for budgeting and expenses.
- Cultivate new relationships with financial advisors within a focused distribution channel (Wirehouse). Responsible for sales and revenue growth within a designated region.
- Partner with SRM, firms/centers of influence (BD’s) and industry organizations that have shared values to drive fixed (FIA) product awareness and market share.
- Actively consult, both over the phone and in-person, Financial Advisors to provide them with value-added strategies to increase their business and expand the partnership.
- Educate financial advisors on both products and the process of selling annuities as part of a comprehensive financial plan.
- Engage Advisors to increase the knowledge of Brighthouse Financials products, our value proposition and present our products in the context of sales ideas.
- Responsible for achieving repeat business from new relationships they can forge within this advisor set (tracking and analyzing performance progress).
- Interact with key partners (DSM, SDM, EW, IW & KPP) for connectedness, timeliness and quality assurance – FA experience.
- Actively participate in the mentoring and training of ISO team members (IW’s & ISA’s).
- Engage in research, thought leadership and competitive intelligence on thriving Fixed marketplace.
We’re looking for people who have:
- 3+ years of sales experience (Annuity preferred) as an Internal and/or External Wholesaler.
- ISO employees actively participating in (or graduated from) BHF’s Wholesaler Development Program.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships.
- Exemplary track record of exceeding sales performance expectations.
- Ability to communicate clearly and motivate others to action (excellent presentation skills).
- Proven ability to demonstrate and train on sales and marketing principles and practices.
- Ability to travel up to 40%.
- Must hold a valid FINRA SIE, Series 6 or 7 and Series 63 license.
- Must hold or obtain a Life and Health Insurance license with Variable Authority.
- Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent job experience/education preferred.
- Advanced financial designation preferred.
