How you’ll contribute: 

This role is primarily responsible for the design and development of new Brighthouse annuity products and the ongoing evolution of existing annuity products. Drive the design and development of annuity product solutions in support of the company’s growth strategy by partnering with leadership across the company to ensure alignment between the company’s strategic objectives. Represent the organization as we seek external partnerships to further drive product distribution. Develop product solutions in partnership with various leaders to ensure long-term growth and competitiveness of the organization.

 

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Drive future annuity product design by developing a deep understanding of customer needs, industry and retirement trends, risk management and regulatory issues impacting our business.
  • Develop product strategy in support of the company’s sales and marketing goals.
  • Ensure partnership across the enterprise in the design and development of new annuity products including the creation of new business development opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent and compelling product messaging for our suite of retirement solutions
  • In partnership with Distribution Leadership and the Head of Pricing, design and develop competitive annuity products that meet company financial targets
  • Works across the Distribution, Client Solutions, Technology, Finance and Legal organizations to develop solutions in line with the organization’s mission and business strategy.
  • Provide support for inforce annuity products and seek opportunities to create additional value that considers clients, advisors, firms, and company.
  • Be a talent leader by creating an inclusive work environment where employees can thrive.
  • Manage department operating budget.

 

We’re looking for people who have:

  • Strong knowledge of annuity products including Variable, Fixed Indexed (FIA), Registered Index-linked, and Fixed & Income annuity products
  • Deep understanding of annuity industry and marketplace including trends and market demands
  • Process driven leader with proven ability to find creative solutions to complex problems
  • Capable of effectively handling multiple long-term projects and short-term ad hoc tasks at the same time
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with associates and partners outside of direct chain of command and to drive and influence decisions in these areas.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing and designing compelling financial services products in senior product management role(s)
  • Undergraduate degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills

  • Compensation – Base salary ranging from $260,000 to $300,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
