IT Lead Business Systems Analyst - Variable Annuities Hedging (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Remote)

How you’ll contribute: 

As a Variable Annuities Hedging IT Lead Business Systems Analyst you’ll be responsible for synthesizing and presenting business requirements supporting the Annuities Strategy & Hedging business team.

 

The candidate will adopt the BSA approach to identify business objectives, document requirements (both functional and non-functional), ensure the requirements are attained in system design, and verify traceability throughout the testing lifecycle. Requirements will span the end-to-end technology platforms to provide business capabilities and automation necessary for valuations, reserving, projections and experience studies. This role may also be called to support Hedging IT production operations.  

 

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Deliver detailed technical business analysis for enterprise solutions.
  • Synthesize and produce business process flows.
  • Synthesize and produce requirements, both functional and non-functional, achieve business sign off and development team acceptance. Ensure requirement traceability into testing and provide oversight for complete test coverage. Maintain a productive working relationship with all business, technology partners and third-party vendors in assigned enterprise space.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the organization being a champion for the adoption and maturity of holistic service management disciplines.
  • Follow through to completion all assigned tasks from enterprise and project leaders throughout the software solution standup and ongoing lifecycle.  
  • Meet or exceed agreed upon project timelines for assigned deliverables.
  • Actively contribute to resolution groups to research, communicate and help drive project challenges and production issues to closure.
  • Ensure implementations achieve business and technology requirements.

 

We’re looking for people who have: 

  • Formal on the job business systems analysis experience and training (4+ years).
  • Excellent communicator, conflict and problem solver.
  • Self-driven ability to understand, identify, resolve and recommend options to solve complex business issues with technology solutions.
  • Software development methodology experience (Agile and/or Waterfall).
  • Experience with requirement development, testing approach, planning skills and tool sets to support SaaS based solution execution.
  • Ability to interface with all roles of technical solution stand up projects and programs.
  • Ability to produce and decipher complex technical use cases, user stories, process flows, diagrams, data analysis, data mapping, interfaces, reporting and testing activities on web and hosted technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of application development and/or technical acumen.
  • Passion for innovation and dedication to enterprise technology development objectives.
  • Flexible team player with proven track record driving and successfully delivering technology solutions.
  • Actuarial, life & annuity insurance background or policy administration experience is a huge plus.

  • Compensation – Base salary ranging from $95,000 to $120,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
