How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:

The Manager of Financial Professional Experience is responsible for the execution of initiatives to support annuity and life insurance operations. The role will oversee annuity and life insurance operations teams that support Brighthouse Financial’s distribution organization to align operational services and resources with distribution goals. These teams will interface directly with financial professionals and their firms. The Manager of Financial Professional Experience will play a critical role to ensure their teams provide an excellent service experience through fast response and resolution time for annuity and life insurance advisors.


2 locations (remote option)

To protect the health and safety of our employees, our offices are closed until at least May 2021. When our offices reopen, the individual hired for this role will be based in our Charlotte, NC office, our Phoenix, AZ office, or can continue to work remotely.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement and lead the internal and external support model for annuity and life insurance advisors
  • Lead the Annuity Top Producer and Annuity Escalations Analysts. Responsible for hiring, development and retention of a team of operations employees.
  • Be accountable to the Head of Advisor Experience and Head of Enterprise Operations
  • Effectively partner with Brighthouse Financial’s Distribution Organization to align the support teams with sales strategies and goals
  • Build a culture of “Financial Professional first” across all teams. Develop processes and procedures to ensure top advisor experience
  • Collaborate across functions to prioritize the resolution of critical issues and service needs of high-profile advisors
  • Serve as “Experience” subject matter expert
  • Manage a variety of relationships across external service providers and distribution partners
  • Other duties as assigned


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in the life insurance and annuity industry
  • Strong record of success in managing life insurance and/or annuity operations
  • Be highly accountable and hands-on and accomplished at delivering across functions and stakeholders
  • Customer-centric mindset, ability to quickly prioritize and resolve issues
  • Experience leading a large team of people: responsibilities including objectives planning, performance reviews, compensation planning, coaching, and development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  •   Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must currently hold FINRA SIE, Series 6 or 7 or the ability to obtain
