Manager, Investment Operations (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Remote)

How you’ll contribute:
As a Middle Office Manager, Investment Operations, you’ll be responsible for oversight and Vendor Management of BHF’s Collateral Agent while managing the day-to-day collateral operations for the Derivative Hedging Strategy. Key responsibilities include collateral requirements for eligible assets and their confirmation, settlement, interest payments, reconciliations and communications/reporting on Derivative and Capital Markets Collateral transactions. This role will be multi-dimensional, as it will require the skill set to address all trading settlement, custodial and collateral open items as they relate to position and cash breaks. They will be expected to work closely with the Front Office and the Treasury team.
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Collaborate with Treasury, Middle Office, Front Office, Custody and Collateral Agent
- Provide oversight of external Collateral Agent
- Identify process improvements and serve as Collateral Lead for driving new initiatives
- Participate in Liquidity Working Group sessions to evaluate existing collateral
- Research and remedy collateral breaks
We’re looking for people who have:
- Knowledge of Collateral Management / Derivative Products, inclusive but not limited to, (Equity Options, Total Return Swaps, Interest Rate Swaps, Bond Forwards, Currency Swaps, Cliques, Spot and Forward FX / Payments)
- Knowledge of REPOs
- Working knowledge of Blackrock Aladdin, Acadia, TriOptima triResolve
- Excellent oral and written communication skills – the ability to convey a broad array of information succinctly and accurately
- Excellent organization, planning and time management skills and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to interface with all levels of management
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change in a dynamic work environment
- Excellent analytical, investment and business acumen
- High level attention to detail

- Compensation – Base salary ranging from $130,000 - $150,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
