How you’ll contribute: 
As the Sr Actuarial Associate II of the Model Risk Management (MRM) team, you’ll be responsible for leading model validations across the organization and research key emerging actuarial issues within the life insurance space. This position sits within Corporate Risk Management (CRM) and collaborates closely with key stakeholders across business functions including Pricing, Valuation, Asset Liability Management (ALM), Audit, and other critical functions.


In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Independently review and validate models, including reviewing model documentation, evaluating model risks, and proposing review strategies and recommendations.
  • Strengthen risk management by identifying key issues and proposing enhancements to model design and governance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for applicable models, while promoting sound modeling practices.
  • Partner with teams across Pricing, ALM, and Valuation to provide effective challenge and validation support.
  • Support the Model Governance function by performing risk-based model reviews.
  • Perform and support other CRM initiatives as needed.

 

We’re looking for people who have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, computer science, finance, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling background with advanced experience in Excel and VBA.
  • Experience using actuarial modeling software such as Prophet or similar.
  • Actuarial credentials highly desired.
  • Familiarity with VM-20 and pre-PBR life valuation guidance is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Compensation – Base salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
