Senior Analyst (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Morristown, NJ (Hybrid) or Remote)

How you’ll contribute:
As a Senior Analyst you will work actively with various members of Brighthouse’s Investments team to provide analytical support across asset sectors and portfolios. The individual will perform investment analysis and assist Brighthouse’s sector portfolio managers in managing our general account portfolio on a multi-manager platform. The Senior Analyst will generate performance measurement and other reports and will participate in research and ad-hoc projects across Investments.
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Utilize analytical data applications and models for all sectors, including credit, structured finance, real estate and alternative investments.
- Develop a deep knowledge of data, partner with sector heads and other senior members of the Investments department to provide data sets and ad hoc data preparation to solve day-to-day and strategic issues
- Participate in research projects on asset sectors and portfolio management.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the manager and perform other duties as requested.
- Streamline data extraction and reporting efficiency by utilizing macros/VBA/SQL
- Help identify data issues and maintain data integrity across the portfolio
- Collaborate with sector heads to monitor 3rd party investment managers and data providers
- Prepare presentations and reporting packages for senior management.
We’re looking for people who have:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in fixed income
- Background in financial or quantitative analysis
- Substantial experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Blackrock Aladdin and Power BI preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills – the ability to convey a broad array of information succinctly and accurately
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, problem solving, facilitation, and presentation skills -the ability to interface with all levels of management
- Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, embrace a steep learning curve, and seek out responsibility
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently as a member of a collaborative team
- Strong ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and proven ability to meet stringent time constraints
- Knowledge and interest in current events/trends impacting industry and markets
- BS/BA in computer science, data science, mathematics or finance preferred

- Compensation – Base salary ranging from $90,000 - $120,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results.
