How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:

The Social Media Consultant is a highly self-motivated individual who has a passion for bringing brands to life and connecting with customers via social media and brand marketing. This role will help drive Brighthouse Financial brand awareness, relevance and differentiation through social media campaigns, content and tactics to reach our target audiences. A successful candidate should demonstrate experience in social media channel management, reporting of metrics and insights, and familiarity with social media paid tactics. This role implements the social media channel and campaign strategies, and partners with marketing stakeholders and agencies in creative development and production of social media assets. This role is an integral member of the Brand team and will report to the Digital and Social Media Marketing Manager.

 

Work Location:

To protect the health and safety of our employees, our offices are closed until at least September 2021. When our offices reopen, the individual hired for this role will be based in our Charlotte, NC office or can continue to work remotely.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Social Paid and Organic Editorial:
    • Lead the development of always-on social media editorial content and lead generation campaigns
    • Implement strategies to achieve marketing goals to drive awareness, relevance and sales
    • Maintain procedures to help ensure the quality and integrity of the campaign pre-flight

 

  1. Social Campaigns and Agency Management:
    • Serve as project manager on social media projects, consulting with internal clients and agency partners
    • Communicate and activate our company values and inclusive culture on social media
    • Lead development of influencer marketing campaigns
    • Integrate with compliance and legal workstreams to maintain regulatory requirements

 

  1. Social Channel Management:
    • Own the scheduling and publishing of social media content, staying up-to-date with latest technology, tools, trends, and ad units
    • Activate crisis management protocols and input key data, insights and recommendation

 

  1. Reporting and Analytics:
    • Responsible for social media editorial and campaign reporting, analysis and learnings application
    • Work with internal partners on social link tracking and site traffic performance

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 5+ years of prior marketing experience, Social media experience in a brand, agency or editorial setting is a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of social channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest) and how each platform can be used most efficiently in different scenarios.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (i.e. Khoros, Sprinklr, Spredfast, etc.)
  • Strong written communicator
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze data, and apply creative problem-solving skills
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
