Treasury Operations Analyst

How you’ll contribute:
As a Treasury Operations Analyst, you’ll be responsible for supporting efforts related to the analysis and reporting of the Company’s cash concentration structures to support operating and investing activities focused on cash, liquidity forecasting, short-term investments and reporting in the Treasury Operations area. This position will also provide support and coordination on various key Treasury Operation projects to enhance or maintain treasury business and technology solutions to support Treasury Operations activities. This will require analysis, problem-solving, reporting and communication with frequent interaction with team members across Treasury, IT, Finance, TPAs, and Lines of Business.
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Support the analysis of operational cash flows and enhance modeling of short-term and long-term liquidity forecasting
- Support daily cash positioning activities, including managing daily liquidity and bank reporting
- Monitor liquidity across all Brighthouse Financial legal entities to ensure short-term cash needs are met
- Ensure sufficient trade-offs between liquidity and yields are assessed on excess working capital balances
- Support the coordination of banking fees and projections
- Track bank scorecard metrics and trending
- Assists Treasury Operations Director / Managers in planning, organizing, and overseeing projects, focusing on tasks like creating and updating schedules, defining tasks, tracking issues and ensuring team members are appraised of current activity status.
- Assist with execution of ongoing Treasury processes and reporting, including weekly dashboards, quarterly financial reporting, trend analysis, reinsurance settlements, and other ad-hoc deliverables
- Support disbursements processes for internal business partners and third-party service providers (payment files from TPAs, investments driven custody account movements, etc.)
- Support the analysis of quarterly cash movements and report on variations between projections and cash actuals
- Monitor for email queries and resolve issues or assign tasks to other team members for resolution
- Support audit activities
We’re looking for people who have:
- Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, finance or related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of related treasury or finance experience in a public or private company environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of banking services, terminology, processes and overall treasury management principles, fundamentals, and techniques
- Ability to manage relationships with people up, across and down the organization
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Insurance industry experience preferred
- Project Management Skills preferred
