Senior UX Designer (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Fully Remote)

Where you’ll work:
Our hybrid workplace model offers the freedom to work fully remote or occasionally in one of our offices. This is a remote position with a hybrid option for candidates based in Charlotte, NC.


How you’ll contribute:
As a UX Design Lead you’ll be responsible for user-focused design, driving and articulating a vision for web experiences that propel and support enterprise needs, advocating for the voice of the user and amplifying the value of User Experience across the organization. The ideal candidate is passionate and committed to championing for the user with strong conceptual thinking and a high level of curiosity and problem solving.

In this role, you’ll get to:
•    Develop and influence user journeys, user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes to convey design concepts and visualize solutions
•    Drive overall direction and strategy for the UX design function, managing and maintaining User Experience Standards to be leveraged across digital experiences by internal teams as well as vendor/agency partners
•    Understand and foster the needs of the advisor and consumer, using that knowledge to influence business strategies that deliver useful and enjoyable online experiences
•    Establish creative direction and act as design lead on complex projects
•    Leverage performance data and research to analyze the user journey and identify opportunities for future improvement and investment
•    Lead cross-functional teams to translate issues and opportunities into technical solutions that deliver upon business goals, user needs and technological capabilities 
•    Work with team members and agency partners to create comprehensive and scalable solutions that enhance the user’s experience and unify all touchpoints


We’re looking for people who have
•    8+ years of experience in user experience, experience design or related fields 
•    Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, HCI or other related disciplines preferred
•    Intimate knowledge of industry tools, particularly Adobe Creative, and solid understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, interaction, site architecture, user interfaces, and navigation
•    Strong portfolio that demonstrates sound UX principles, design skills and design thinking with the ability to speak to the integral role played in the overall design process 
•    Demonstrated proficiency and success developing user-focused experiences 
•    Ability to create innovative conceptual designs along with the flexibility to adapt to existing branding
•    Ability to contribute ideas and execute the ideas of others quickly and competently 
•    Exceptional eye for detail and strong troubleshooting skills, to creatively work through problems or roadblocks
•    Capacity for constant learning and continuous improvement from both success and failure
•    Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively articulate and communicate vision, opportunities, and value across all levels in the organization
•    Self-motivated with a high level of accountability.

•    Compensation – Base salary ranging from $95,000 to $110,000 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results
